After 10 successful years of product innovation, business growth and geographic expansion, SportaFence has been acquired by new owners.
Dan Gentry, founder of the Sportafence product line and owner of Sportafence Marketing Enterprises, has retired from the business and completed the sale of the Sportafence business to new owners, Chad & Kelly Simich. The parties have been collaborating on the sale since 2016. The acquisition was completed in late December, 2020.
Chad & Kelly bring many years of corporate and small business management experience including leading one of the largest sales & marketing companies for outdoor commercial recreation products in Minnesota. Chad & Kelly plan to leverage their experience to expand the sales and marketing capabilities of Sportafence, improve product awareness and education in the market and to scale-up Sportafence manufacturing capabilities to meet growing demand. Management, Sales & Marketing functions for the new Sportafence Holdings Inc. will be relocated to Minnesota, while the company’s existing manufacturing capability will remain in its current southern California location.
